Starcoat™ T5
 Starcoat™ T5 - Compatability One of the key requirements identified during customer interviews was the need to produce a range of lamps with proven compatibility on a wide range of ballasts. Compatibility is greatly affected by how a lamp is operated by a ballast. In particular we need to look at the lamp cathode resistance and how it matches the output from the ballast. Companies that produce both lamp and ballasts, optimise both components together. For example here we see brand X lamps optimised with brand X ballasts, and Brand Y lamps optimised on brand Y ballasts. Independent ballast manufacturers have pitched their ballast output, in between these two points, thus achieving satisfactory performance on both brands X & Y lamps. To ensure Starcoat T5 was universally optimised, GE also set its cathode resistance between these two points. This gives Starcoat T5 universal compatibility and optimal performance on all ballasts including brands X & Y.  Starcoat™ T5 - Tight Performance Specification GE achieves our customers target of 20,000 hours average rated life. Furthermore, we have exceptional Lumen Maintenance performance. These combine to give an excellent system performance providing system reliability and reduced maintenance costs.  Starcoat™ T5 - Range GE launch Starcoat T5 in a complete range of High Efficiency and High Output lamps ranging from 14 to 80 watts. The High Efficiency range can be easily identified by a silver brand stamp, whilst the High Output range has a gold brand stamp. Additionally, each type is available in five colours, from 2700 ‘K extra warm white through to 6500’K daylight. These will also be available in two pack types namely 40 way un-sleeved and 30 way sleeved.  Starcoat™ T5 - Brand Recognition The Starcoat brand has global trade mark registration and will be easy to specify by name. Lighting Designers are already specifying Starcoat T5 to ensure their clients realise the benefits to be gained from this new technology. |
