Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) are a low energy alternative to traditional incandescent bulbs. Instead of a tungsten filament, CFLs consist of a glass tube filled with mercury vapour and gas, with an electrode at either end of the tube. How Do CFLs Work?
